Repairs will be quoted separately upon locating the fault.
For appliance fitting or a gas service technician is required, this is $150 + GST per hour.
Terms of Payment
Payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the work or at each stage if applicable. A 50% deposit may be required to start the work, and acceptance of this deposit confirms the contract. This deposit is non-refundable.
Access
The client must ensure that Ashore Plumbing & Gas technicians have access to the site during working hours and remove any personal property that could obstruct the work.
Materials, Details, and Dimensions
The client must provide necessary dimensions and locations in a timely manner to facilitate the completion of the work as per the contract.
Existing Underground Services
Ashore Plumbing & Gas is not responsible for the repair or rectification of damaged underground services during manual or machine excavation. It is the client’s responsibility to identify and mark the location of any underground services before excavation begins.
Use of Equipment
Excavators: Excavators will be used for digging and trenching as required. The client is responsible for marking any underground services before excavation begins. Ashore Plumbing & Gas is not liable for damage to unmarked services.
Minimum Charges for 2.5 tonne Excavator
| Service Duration | Total Cost |
|---|---|
| Half-Day (up to 4 hours) | $200 + GST |
| Full-Day (up to 8 hours) | $400 + GST |
Drain Jetters: High-pressure drain jetters will be used to clear blockages. The client must notify Ashore Plumbing & Gas of any known vulnerabilities in the drainage system. Ashore Plumbing & Gas is not responsible for pre-existing damage that may be exacerbated by jetting.
A fee of $180 + GST will be charged if we require the use of the Drain Jetter.

If both the use of a Drain Jetter and a locating camera are required, then the combined fee will be $300 + GST.
CCTV Drain Inspection
Ashore Plumbing & Gas recommends a CCTV camera inspection when clearing a blocked drain, as it identifies the cause of the blockage. If the client declines a CCTV inspection, Ashore Plumbing & Gas will not warrant the drain clean if there are any recurring blockages, and any return visit will be charged as a new job.
Excavation (Manual or Machine)
Excavation costs are estimated based on known conditions at the time of quotation. Due to the unpredictable nature of underground conditions, Ashore Plumbing & Gas reserves the right to adjust the original quotation to reflect additional time and costs required to complete the excavation if conditions change.
Safety and Compliance
All work will be conducted in compliance with Australian safety standards and regulations. The client agrees to follow any safety instructions provided by Ashore Plumbing & Gas.
Finished Surfaces
Unless otherwise agreed, the client is responsible for making good all finished surfaces affected during the work.
Variations
Any client-requested variations may increase the contract sum and extend the completion time. The client will be liable for any cost increases. A written variation quotation will be provided and must be accepted within 3 days. Failure to accept within this period may result in a revised quotation. Variation quotations are exclusive of GST and apply only to the described variation work.
